This feature coming to Meta’s instant messaging app will make it easier for users to find their favorite contacts. This feature will be especially beneficial for those users who are more connected with their friends and family through WhatsApp. Users will be able to include their favorite friends and family members in the favorite contact list.
This feature of WhatsApp is currently seen in Android beta version. According to the report of WABetaInfo, this feature of WhatsApp will allow users to manage their favorite contacts. This feature of Meta’s instant messaging app can also be similar to the closed friends feature of Instagram, in which close friends of the users can be included.
Favorite Contacts feature
According to the report, WhatsApp users will be allowed to add friends to their favorite contact list and change its order. Additionally, users can also remove anyone from their favorite contact list. This feature will be added with new changes in the user interface of WhatsApp. Along with updates and calling tabs, users will also get a tab for favorite contacts. From there, users will be able to directly contact their favorite contacts.
Apart from this, many other new features are also being worked on for WhatsApp. Users will have the option of quick reply to status updates. Users will be able to quickly reply to the status of any of their friends. For this, users will not have to open the chat tab for that contact. Users will be able to reply to the status from the status window itself. However, this feature of WhatsApp has currently been added to the beta version. It is not confirmed at the moment whether this feature will be brought in the stable version or not.
Meta AI Features
Meta AI feature has been added to WhatsApp for select beta users. Last week the company had shared information about Meta AI integration. Users will be able to create text-to-image and text-to-video under Meta’s latest LLM LAMA 3 model. Users will be able to generate images and videos by typing anything in WhatsApp with the help of AI.
