PM Narendra Modi Russia Visit: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will pay an official visit to Russia and Austria on 08-10 July 2024. Information about this visit of PM Modi has been given by the Ministry of External Affairs. The Ministry of External Affairs said the Prime Minister will be in Moscow from July 8 to 9 to attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The ministry said the two leaders will review multi-dimensional relations and exchange views on contemporary regional and global issues of mutual interest.
PM Modi’s first visit to Russia amid war
This will be PM Modi’s first visit to Russia after the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. The statement said PM Modi and President Putin will “discuss the prospects for further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Indian relations, as well as relevant issues of the international and regional agenda.”
PM Modi will also visit Austria
After this, Prime Minister Modi will visit Austria during 09-10 July 2024. This will be the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Austria in 41 years. PM Modi will meet Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and also hold talks with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with people of the Indian community in Moscow as well as Vienna.
