MG Gloster introduces ZeroCar Manufacturer MG Motor India is planning to open 100 new showrooms and service centers by the end of the current financial year for the next phase of its growth. Along with this, the company is moving towards the third and fourth tier cities of the country. MG Motor had last month announced plans to invest Rs 5,000 crore after JSW Group came on board as an investor. The company has also set a target of selling 10 lakh units of passenger electric vehicles in India by 2030.

The company is aiming to establish a total network of 520 sales and service centers in 270 cities by the end of the financial year 2024-25. Apart from this, the company also plans to introduce a new model every three to six months. Target to create a network of 520 sales and service centers
MG Motor India Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Satinder Singh Bajwa told PTI that the company has made a very clear roadmap for the next phase of growth, which has been named MG 2.0. Under this plan, the company has planned to increase production capacity and launch more models in future.
Target to reach 300 cities by March 2025
To fulfill these plans, the company wants to expand its reach in the Indian market. Bajwa said, “Currently we have 380 service and sales centers in 170 cities. We have to reach 300 cities by March 2025 as per our expansion plan. After which the number of our centers will also increase to more than 500. He said that apart from the existing dealers, the company will also include new partners to expand the network.
MG 2.0 Scheme
This expansion will be done in rural areas as well as in third and fourth tier cities. Under the MG 2.0 scheme, the company wants to increase its annual production capacity from one lakh vehicles to three lakh vehicles. It will also set up a second manufacturing unit in Halol, Gujarat.
