Kargil Vijay Diwas: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to the martyrs

Meanwhile, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday paid tribute to the armed forces personnel who fought bravely in extremely difficult circumstances and sacrificed their lives to protect the country during the Kargil war 25 years ago. Let us tell you that the Indian Army had announced the successful completion of ‘Operation Vijay’ on 26 July 1999, after achieving victory in the war that lasted for almost three months on the snowy peaks of Kargil located in Ladakh.

Rajnath Singh remembered the brave soldiers

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh made this in a post on social media platform ‘X’. He said, “Today 25 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas have been completed. We remember the indomitable courage of the brave soldiers who fought bravely in the 1999 war.” He said, ”Their unwavering commitment, bravery and patriotism have shown that our country will remain safe and secure. His service and sacrifice will continue to inspire every Indian and our future generations.

On this occasion, Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan and all the personnel of the armed forces also remembered the supreme sacrifice of the ‘brave soldiers’. “We are inspired by the heroes of Kargil and we will always honor their legacy by defending our country with courage, honor and sacrifice,” Headquarters Integrated Defense Staff said.
